2nd place in Redbubble X State Library of Victoria #CreateArtHistory

A few months ago,on September 2017,Redbubble teamed up with the State Library of Victoria in Melbourne Australia with a global design contest under the title #CreateArtHistory.

The State Library of Victoria opened up its beautiful collection to the world and artists around the world were invited to participate in a major international competition to create new works that drew inspiration from the Library’s collection. The themes of the competition were Magic, Weird Creatures and Botanicals.

Our digital vintage collage “Victoria” was the 2nd winner of #CreateArtHistory competition, between two Australians, Natasha Sim from Melbourne (1st place) and Paul Summerfield from Canberra (3rd place), while there were more than 2000 entries to the contest. The priceless prize for all the winners was the permanent addition of the winning artworks at the Library’s collection. The State Library of Victoria has been one of the most visited cultural centres in the city of Melbourne all year round, while at the same time it is one of the biggest and most organized libraries worldwide.

We are stoked to have officially been catalogued as artists and to have earned a place in State Library of Victoria’s permanent collection.
